The ball joints on the wheel carrier are subject to wear, which usually starts with a torn sleeve. Once the grease has been washed out of the ball joint, the ball joint will fail within a few thousand kilometers. The defective rubber sleeves are complained about at the TÜV at the latest. With the help of this sleeve, you can "save" your ball joint (if the damage is detected in time) and possibly save yourself having to replace the entire ball joint on your Porsche. Particularly advantageous: Changing the cuffs on the ball joint in a timely or preventive manner also saves you the wheel alignment that would be necessary when replacing the wishbone.
