Description:
The strut mount forms the connection between the strut and the body. A defective strut bearing can be recognized by a change in steering behavior. Grinding or cracking noises during steering movements are signs of a damaged strut bearing.
Strut bearings should always be replaced axle by axle and every time the shock absorbers or struts are replaced. As the strut bearings usually have a longer service life, a separate replacement is rarely necessary.
