Description:
If your vehicle displays implausible temperature values, there may be a problem with the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor can wear out over time due to recurring temperature fluctuations.
The rubber sleeve of the temperature sensor on the air filter box becomes brittle over the years. At this point the engine draws in incorrect air and no longer runs smoothly. In addition, the measured values of the temperature sensor are distorted because the false air drawn in changes the temperature in the area of the sensor.
