The motor stores of modern vehicles are so -called hydrolagers. These are oil-filled two-chamber systems that have the functioning of a chassis shock absorber. This enables significantly better, linear damping properties with a higher damping path than through conventional rubber bearings. However, the hydrolagers on the engine fail as well as it is known from shock absorbers. This is noticeable by pounding noises and vibrations from the engine.
