Description:
Anchor plates protect the brake from ingress of dust, dirt or liquid. As a result, splash guards increase the service life of the individual components of a disc brake. Furthermore, anchor plates shield temperature-sensitive components of the chassis from the heat of the brakes when the vehicle is stationary.
Rust, increased thermal stress or stone chips often lead to a damaged anchor plate. In order to prevent failure of safety-relevant components of the chassis or braking system, a damaged brake anchor plate should be replaced promptly.
