Description:
Damping plates provide the connection between the brake piston and the brake pads. This reduces noise caused by grinding or squeaking brake pads and minimizes wear. Since the sheets are usually glued together and are sometimes exposed to high temperatures, there can be a lot of noise at the end of a braking process.
The damping plates should therefore always be replaced when the brake pads are replaced.
