Light bulb for PORSCHE 944 968 digital clock outside temperature display
The right bulbs for your Porsche
Description: The light bulb is installed in both the digital clocks of the 944/968CS and the outside temperature displays of the 968. If the clock's lighting is too weak for you, you will notice when you install this original bulb that the luminosity has become noticeably weaker over the years.
The change is quick and easy; instructions can be found in this item description below.
A notice: There are many bulbs with similar bases and different wattages. The other sockets do not fit and incorrect wattages can cause the reflector to melt.
If your watch lights up but does not display any numbers or crescent-like errors, the display repair is necessary. To do this, simply search for “Porsche 944 digital clock” in the shop.
Installation/removal instructions: 1. Remove the triangular black plastic cover at the end of the dashboard, accessible when the passenger door is open. 2. Loosen the screw underneath on the long, thin switch strip. 3. Carefully remove the knobs on the two heater/air conditioning control sliders using a small flathead screwdriver or plastic putty knife. 4. Carefully remove the heater/air conditioning control cover panel from the side using a plastic putty knife or very small flathead screwdriver. The cover is attached with four (two at the top, two at the bottom) small clips. Be careful, the old plastic parts break easily. Loosen all four screws on the control panel and pull it forward one centimeter. 5. Carefully turn the inner sensor rosette (small, round grille) by approximately 30 degrees to then remove it. Loosen the screw behind it. 6. Using a small slotted screwdriver, loosen the cover to the left of the right fan grille and the screws behind it. 7. Now you can easily remove the switch strip and loosen the clock with its 2 screw connections. The somewhat stiff plug is not clipped and is simply removed. Now you can replace the bulb. 8. Store the screws safely. Installation is carried out in reverse order. A notice: Make sure that the hose of the internal sensor has not slipped and ideally use a cable tie to secure it. Duration: 10 minutes
