Description: In the odometers of mechanical speedometers, this gear often breaks radially with a fine hairline crack. It then no longer sits firmly on the shaft and moves to the side.
Please count the number of teeth before purchasing. Unfortunately, no information can be given about the number of teeth in all models. It can be between 10 and 25 (except 16,20,22,24). We have all variants in our program and usually also online.
The gears are suitable for everyonemechanical VDO speedometers from various vehicle brands.
A notice: We strongly recommend replacing the roller wheel on the same shaft if you have already dismantled and opened the speedometer. Both gears are the typical weak points. If the wheel can turn on the shaft, it is already damaged. There are 3 different thickness versions (4.5mm; 5.4mm; 6.0mm). Simply measure the total thickness of the gear and order the right one from the shop.
If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grip the center of the speedometer needle and turn it counterclockwise. Pull lightly. Friction is everything that keeps the needle on the shaft.
