If the odometer/trip meter has failed on your vehicle, the gear shown is usually the cause. The second most common cause is a smaller, wider gear on the worm shaft.

The G model has a second, wider gear, which often fails. Unfortunately we don't have a replacement for this yet. Therefore, please check which gear you need BEFORE purchasing.

Unfortunately, the association between engine type/gearbox type/year of manufacture/model/country type and gear type is so complex that only counting the teeth can provide 100% certainty.
We strongly recommend disassembling the speedometer before purchasing and letting us know the number of teeth as a comment when purchasing. This is how you prevent an exchange. Without this note, you will receive the most commonly installed gear for this type of vehicle.

Quality:

The so-called involute tooth geometry is retained; this is the only way to ensure low-friction sliding of the tooth flanks between the pairs of gears.
The material we use is the thermoplastic Celron with graphite additives. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation.

If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grip the center of the speedometer needle and turn it counterclockwise. Pull lightly. Friction is everything that keeps the needle on the shaft.
