Over the years, all gas pressure dampers lose their operating pressure and therefore function less. The higher the manufacturing quality of the piston rod, its coating and the seal, the longer the dampers maintain the specified nominal force. It is therefore only recommended to use tried and tested branded goods. Noname products often do not have the specified feed force even when new and the flap/lid only opens fully with manual assistance.
