Description:
The so-called V-belt monitor is a very important monitoring instrument for the late air-cooled Porsche 911 engines. Because a break in the V-belt leads to the cooling function of the engine fan being stopped, this tension sensor was installed from the 964 onwards. To ensure proper functioning, it is recommended that this tension sensor be replaced by replacing the V-belt as a precautionary measure.

No programming or anything similar is required after the repair.
