The right starter switch for your 996/986

Description:
This ignition switch is mounted on the rear side of the steering lock housing. The ignition starter switches are a typical source of starting problems. Please note that Porsche has changed the steering lock on both the 986 Boxster and the 996 Carrera/turbo for model year 2004. The differences can be recognized by the different height and shape of the steering switch. The pin assignment, number of pins and connector shape on the underside are the same for both variants. We have both types of ignition switch in our range. The corresponding steering lock, in which the ignition starter switch is installed, has the part number 99634701706.
