Description: Components in the valve train are subject to high loads at changing temperatures. Controlled by the camshaft, actuation takes place via the rocker arms on the valves. Clacking / nailing noises, especially when the engine is cold, are signs of worn components in the valve timing or incorrectly adjusted valve clearance. During an engine overhaul or maintenance, worn or damaged components must be replaced immediately to avoid consequential damage.
Advantage of sodium-filled valves: Valves are usually made of solid material. The valves offered here are 2/3 filled with sodium. From a temperature of approx. 97°C, the sodium becomes liquid and oscillates back and forth with every valve movement. This ensures better and more even heat dissipation, which can reduce the temperature at the valve disc by up to 100°C.
In addition to intake and exhaust valves for various Porsche models, we have many other engine parts and other spare parts in our range.
