In 2013, a facelifted version of the Panamera was presented at Auto Shanghai, which was delivered in 2013 to 2016. Along the way, a variant appeared which was 15cm longer. The previously used V8 engines in the S and 4S models were replaced by twin-turbocharged V6 engines with 3.0 liters of displacement, which caused controversy among fans. The goal of this change was to achieve a lower emissions rate. Additionally, the introduction of a plug-in hybrid model was announced. The S E-Hybrid had a 71kW 288V electric motor and a 3-liter V6 supercharged TFSI gasoline engine with a total output of 416hp. Top speed in electric mode is 135 km/h and acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes 5.5 seconds. The range of the 9.4-kW/h lithium-ion battery is 32km and can be fully charged in 2.5 hours on a 240V power source.

The range of the 9.4-kW/h lithium-ion battery is 32km and can be fully charged in 2.5 hours on a 240V power source. There was no longer a manual transmission option for the facelifted model. In China, a modified version of the 3.0 Turbo was sold as the base model, while in other markets a 3.6L V6 Porsche engine was installed in the base model. The 4S and GTS were more differentiated than before, and it's a matter of personal taste whether you drive a 3-liter turbo engine or a naturally aspirated 4.8-liter. Porsche positioned the GTS as a sportier version of the S/4S, pushing the envelope further. The Turbo S came standard with everything Porsche had to offer, making it heavier than the standard-configuration Panamera Turbo. To avoid losing power, new turbochargers were installed to provide additional power. The injection pressure was increased from 120 bar to 140 bar, the pistons were made of a new aluminum alloy and the piston rings were specially coated. Compared to the standard turbo, torque has been increased from 700 to 750 Nm and to 800 Nm in overboost mode.
