Like every rubber part on the vehicle, the rubber of the bearing becomes brittle and can no longer absorb the dynamic loads. The result is vibrations and unwanted noises from the engine. Only the turbo models and vehicles with G50 transmissions have a different transmission crossbar with different bearings. Here you can get the engine mounts and transmission mounts for 911/S/SC/Carrera models up to '86. The rubber mounts are available in the original hardness and the SPORT version with a 30% harder rubber mixture.
