Drive shafts form the connection between the wheel hub and gearbox.
The joints lubricated with fat are protected from environmental influences by axis cuffs and seals. The cuffs become cracked over the years. The lubricating fat can escape and damage the joint to the joint. Therefore, the axis cuffs are checked during the main examination and often criticized.
Defective joints are noticeable by cracking or crunching noises on cornering. It is advisable to replace worn joint waves promptly in order to avoid consequential damage from the resulting vibrations.

This seal was installed in the 911S, SC and Carrera models up to '86 (introduction of the G50 transmission).
