MM3 gear for BMW 3 Series E30 R45 K75 C RT K1 R100 MOTOMETER speedometer instrument cluster
Description: The 4-component translation is a common source of errors on motometer odometers of various models. The affected drives are installed in many vehicles from European, Japanese and American brands worldwide. Including motorcycles from BMW.
The drive consists of 4 gears: - The driving gear E1 is identical for all and has 12 teeth (for VDO and Motometer) - Gear MM2 (double gear) in 4 variants (MM2, MM2c, MM2d, MM2e) - Gear MM3 (double gear) in 6 variants (MM3, MM3b, MM3c, MM3d, MM3e, MM3f) - Gear MM4 (double gear) in 5 variants (MM4, MM4b, MM4c, MM4e, MM4f)
The numbers of teeth are assigned to the designations below: MM2 = 44x16 teeth MM2c = 44x17 teeth MM2d = 43x16 teeth MM2e = 43x17 teeth
MM4 = 35x22 MM4b = 28x22 MM4c = 33x26 MM4e = 28x22 (star-shaped teeth, original part is brown/beige) MM4f = 23x22 teeth
Before purchasing, we ask you to determine which variant is right for you by opening the instrument cluster and checking the gears. Use the search function in the shop and look for the gear designations (e.g. MM4 or E1).
You can find out which gear you are purchasing with this offer in the offer title
Notes: We have a variety of speedometer gears for Motometer, VDO and other speedometers and instruments in our program. Unfortunately, the exact combination (vehicle model to gear variant) cannot be determined for every model, but we have separate offers in the shop for the well-known and most common combinations. Buying a used speedometer may save you having to repair it, but it carries the risk that the gear will break in the near future. Storage times and cold temperatures in particular cause additional damage to the gears. In addition, you keep your original mileage with the repair! If you have dismantled the speedometer, we also recommend replacing the light bulbs. These noticeably lose performance over the years. They are available at every car dealership and accessories store.
Your advantages: Our gears are injection molded from high-quality thermoplastic: This enables very good dimensional accuracy and an involute shape of the teeth, which run particularly gently on the partner gear.
If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grip the center of the speedometer needle and turn it counterclockwise. Pull lightly. Friction is everything that keeps the needle on the shaft.
