Description:
If the odometer counter on your Volvo no longer runs, this gear is usually broken. The repair is not complicated and keeps your speedometer in its original condition.

Variants:
There are several gear variants for these models. It is therefore better to count the number of teeth before purchasing and let us know in the comments field when purchasing!

We also recommend replacing the roller wheel (on the same shaft). It is the second most common weak point in the drive. If the roller wheel can rotate on the shaft, it is already damaged.

There are 3 different thickness variants:
A) Total width 4.5mm; Tooth width 1.3 mm
B) Total width 5.4mm; Tooth width 2.2 mm
C) Total width 6.0mm; Tooth width 3.0 mm

Measure the total thickness of the gear and order the right one from the shop if necessary.

The so-called involute tooth geometry is retained; this is the only way to ensure low-friction sliding of the tooth flanks between the pairs of gears.
The material we use is the thermoplastic Celron with graphite additives. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation.

If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grip the center of the speedometer needle and turn it counterclockwise. Pull lightly. Friction is everything that keeps the needle on the shaft.
