Tachograph speedometer gears for Man L2000 F2000 truck VDO Kienzle SET
Please note, there are several gear variants, please read the description carefully!
Description: If the counter of the odometer or operating hour meter has failed on your vehicle, then these drive gears in the instrument are usually the cause. Unsuitable materials cause the original gears to disintegrate or crack radially. With the help of this offer, any hobby mechanic can easily repair his instrument themselves and save themselves the costly contract repair, waiting times and the cost of sending the entire instrument to and from.
Gear sets: Some counter drives have more than one vulnerable gear. In this case, we strongly recommend that you replace all critical pinions to avoid duplicate installation work: The neighboring gear often fails immediately after the first gear has been replaced. Simply look for the right set in our shop and enter your vehicle as a search term + "gear" (e.g. "Mercedes SL gear").
Note: The number of teeth on the instrument drives varies even within a model depending on the engine and transmission type, as well as the differential ratio and country code. Thanks to our many years of experience, we can usually send you the correct tooth configuration directly using the above information. You can also tell us your vehicle information in the comments field when purchasing, or ideally you can disassemble your instrument in advance and count the number of teeth.
Service: We have over 100 gear variants in our range and can supply the right gears if required!
+ all alternative sizes always in stock + fast exchange service in case of size deviations
We will send you illustrated repair instructions (German/English) by email.
Quality: Our gears are elaborately and faithfully manufactured using an injection molding process; they are not 3D-printed custom designs. We work with a manufacturer that specializes in the production of plastic gears and is the global market leader in its repair solutions. The so-called involute tooth geometry is retained; this is the only way to ensure low-friction sliding of the tooth flanks between the gear pairs. We use the thermoplastic Celron with graphite additives. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation.
If you disassemble the speedometer beforehand, please note that the speedometer needle shaft is very sensitive. Grip the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise, pulling gently. Friction is all that keeps the needle on the shaft.
