A defective master brake cylinder should therefore be replaced immediately. A defective master brake cylinder leads to a significant loss of braking power, as usually only two wheels are braked instead of four. If you suspect a defective master brake cylinder, you should under no circumstances continue driving, but rather replace the cylinder immediately.
