Thermostat engine oil for PORSCHE 911 F G from '72 Turbo 914 regulator
Quality from the brand manufacturer
Description: The thermostat controls the cooling circuit of the engine oil and thus doses the cooling of the air-cooled engine. This ensures a short cold running phase while the engine is fully cooled under load, as the oil is guided through the oil cooler or the cooling pipe coil. If the thermostat is defective or stuck, the engine will only run on one of the two oil circuits. The result is unnecessarily long warm-up phases or the engine overheating (oil burns). It is therefore important to replace a stuck thermostat early so that the engine oil temperature control can function properly again. The thermostat housing is also called the regulator housing in Porsche circles.
The MAHLE company was founded in Stuttgart in 1920 and initially specialized in the production of light metal pistons. Since 2010, MAHLE has been the majority shareholder of Behr, which is the ideal partner for topics such as engine cooling and air conditioning. This means that the product range of the over 100-year-old traditional company MALHE has been expanded again. In addition to pistons, cylinders and filter systems, they are constantly developing new, innovative solutions to help shape the future of mobility.
