Breather valve tank for PORSCHE 996 Turbo activated carbon filter shut-off valve
PIERBURG original
Description: The shut-off valve is one of two valves of this type in the Porsche 996 turbo. The valve offered is located in the valve housing of the tank ventilation and NOT in the activated carbon canister. The 996 turbo has another shut-off valve installed there, which you can also find in our shop. If you are unsure, you can compare the OE part number from Porsche. This is printed in white on your original part. It is visible after removing the shut-off valve.
In 1909, the Pierburg brothers founded Pierburg GmbH in Berlin, which has been producing carburetors ever since. In 1986, the Düsseldorf-based Rheinmetall Group took over the company and began building up the automotive technology division. In 1998, Pierburg merged with Kolbenschmidt AG, which was also acquired by Rheinmetall, to form Kolbenschmidt Pierburg AG. This means that Rheinmetall AG is very well positioned when it comes to everything to do with engines. Within the Kolbenschmidt Pierburg Group, Pierburg is considered an expert in the areas of pollutant reduction, air supply and throttle valves.
