Once the grease has been washed out of the ball joint, the ball joint fails within a few thousand kilometers. The defective rubber sleeves will be rejected by the TÜV at the latest. With the help of this sleeve, you can still "save" your ball joint (if the damage is detected in good time) and possibly save yourself the trouble of having to replace the entire ball joint on your Porsche. Particularly advantageous: Replacing the boots on the ball joint in good time or as a precaution also saves you the wheel alignment that would be necessary when replacing the control arm.
