Description:
These two support bearings attach the rear axle of the Porsche 924/944 and 968 to the body. In the original as a rubber-mounted connection, the torque arm of the axle is thus mounted to the chassis at the top behind the wheel arch. The original rubber mounts have become porous and corroded over the decades and are hardly available new. These rigid bearings replace the rubber-to-metal bearings one-to-one and create a rigid connection between the body and the rear axle. This allows you to replace the defective mounts at a reasonable cost and give your vehicle a sportier set-up at the same time. The stiffened support reduces the pitching behavior of the vehicle. The relative movements between the body and axle are prevented and the vehicle becomes firmer. The axle carriers are milled from a high-quality steel alloy and galvanized. The rigid rear axle mounts are supplied with the necessary fastening materials in the required material grades. We also have the bearing blocks for the axle tube under item number #1152 to match these rear axle bearings for the torque arm. We recommend converting both bearings to the rigid versions when overhauling the rear axle. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service.
