Description:
The intermediate shift levers connect the transmission input shafts to the shift linkage. The lever is redirected by this plastic bearing and is knocked out in almost all vehicles. This results in excessive play in the shift linkage on the Porsche 924, 944 and 968. You can use this to eliminate the wobbly feeling of the worn gear lever.
The bearing fits all Porsche four-cylinder transaxles, whether 924S or 944S2/turbo.
Contrary to previous alternatives, this polyoxymethylene plastic bearing has exactly the original geometry. This is the only way to eliminate the switching play without affecting the smooth movement of the lever. The angular offset between the two holes is barely visible to the naked eye. This means that the plastic bearing compensates for its slightly off-center position next to the gearbox and the large bore runs exactly towards the gearshift lever. However, this makes production significantly more complex.
We have now re-released the plain bearing in a small series and will provide you with the necessary fastening material.
For assembly it is sufficient to jack up the rear of the vehicle slightly and remove the left rear wheel.
Together with a new shift lever (item number #3127 in the web shop), you can completely eliminate the play in the shift linkage and have a sporty, direct feeling in the shift lever again.

Very nice kit, especially since the plastic part does wear out and Porsche no longer sells a replacement part. The kit is quite completed, although it would be nice if it came with the four rubber gaskets (477 711 149). I'm not sure what the four thin metal washers that come with the kit are for. Maybe a diagram of how the parts fit together would be useful.

Hätte mir nur gewünscht das die Gummiringe - Dichtungen im Satz enthalten wären.
Habe mir mit O-Ringen behelfen müssen.!
4-5 Euro mehr und mann hätte sich freuen können, wie's passt,
ettliche Zeit u. Frust erspart, wenn der Satz komplett gewesen währe.!!
