Crankshaft bearing for PORSCHE 996 997 987 3.4 3.6 3.8 standard size
Standard size crankshaft bearings
Description: The crankshaft, as the central component of the engine, connects the drive train (clutch, gearbox, etc.) with the pistons and cylinders. The bearings of the crankshaft are exposed to high loads. In most cases, the crankshaft is a forged and correspondingly robust component. The main bearings of the crankshaft wear out more often. If the crankshaft bearings are worn out and are not replaced in a timely manner, damage to the bearing surfaces of the crankshaft can result. It is therefore advisable when working on the engine to check that the crankshaft is mounted correctly. We have various bearings with standard dimensions or oversize/undersize in our range. You can see this in the title.
In addition to crankshaft parts and peripheral components, you can find many other spare parts for your Porsche model in our shop.
In 1909, the Pierburg brothers founded Pierburg GmbH in Berlin, which has been producing carburetors ever since. In 1986, the Düsseldorf-based Rheinmetall Group took over the company and began building up the automotive technology division. In 1998, Pierburg merged with Kolbenschmidt AG, which was also acquired by Rheinmetall, to form Kolbenschmidt Pierburg AG. This means that Rheinmetall AG is very well positioned when it comes to everything to do with the engine. Within the Kolbenschmidt Pierburg Group, Pierburg is considered an expert in the areas of pollutant reduction, air supply and throttle valves.
