This is the only way to ensure that the manifold, turbocharger, catalytic converter, exhaust, heat exchanger / heating flap box, etc. together form an absolutely tight system.

This sealing ring is installed on the 944 turbo between the turbocharger and exhaust pipe and between the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter/front silencer.
