Instrument cluster gears for BMW E30 316i 318i 320i speedometer MOTOMETER G SET... more
Instrument cluster gears for BMW E30 316i 318i 320i speedometer MOTOMETER G SET
Description:
If the odometer/trip meter has failed on your vehicle, the gears shown are usually the cause. Most of the time one of the gears breaks and the drive stalls.
We advise commercial customers in particular to change these four gears directly. Often after replacing one damaged gear, the partner gear fails a short time later. Replacing all the gears ensures that the drive will function for a long time.

Important:
1. First determine whether you have installed a VDO or a MotoMeter drive. To do this, take the instrument cluster out of the dashboard and look at the nameplates at the back. The information on the front between the tachometer and the speedometer is NOT always correct!
2. The number of teeth on all gears varies depending on the model. It depends on many factors (wheel size, gearbox type, engine type, year of manufacture and much more). A secure assignment is not possible. We therefore ask you to determine the number of teeth on the gears and compare them with the variants described.
Service:
We have over 100 gear variants in our range and can supply the right gears if required!
+ all alternative sizes always in stock
+ fast exchange service in the event of a size discrepancy
For the repair, we will send you illustrated repair instructions (German/English) by email.
Quality:
Our gears are elaborately and faithfully manufactured using injection molding and are not self-made 3D printed products. We work with a manufacturer that specializes in the production of plastic gears and is the global market leader with its repair solutions.
The so-called involute tooth geometry is retained; this is the only way to ensure low-friction sliding of the tooth flanks between the gear pairs.
The material we use is the thermoplastic Celron with graphite additives. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation.
If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grab the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise. Pull lightly. Friction is everything that keeps the needle on the shaft.
