Speedometer gears for MERCEDES G-Class GD GE W461 W463 El. Instrument cluster SET
Attention, there are several gear variants, please read the description carefully!
Description:
If the odometer/hour meter on your vehicle has failed, the gears shown are usually the cause. Most of the time one of the gears breaks and the drive stalls.
We advise commercial customers in particular to change these three gears directly.
Often after replacing one damaged gear, the partner gear fails a short time later. Replacing all three ensures that the drive will function for a long time.
A notice:
We also have a repair gear in the shop for the older models with mechanical drives!
Important:
The number of teeth on the smaller E3 type sprocket varies from 12 to 21 teeth depending on the model. It depends on many factors (wheel size, gearbox type, engine type, year of manufacture and much more). A secure assignment is not possible. We therefore ask you to let us know the number of teeth on your E3 gear in the comments field when purchasing. Without this information, we will send you the most commonly installed gear type.
Service:
We have over 100 gear variants in our range and can supply the right gears if required!
+ all alternative sizes always in stock
+ fast exchange service in the event of a size discrepancy
For the repair, we will send you illustrated repair instructions (German/English) by email.
Quality:
Our gears are elaborately and faithfully manufactured using injection molding and are not self-made 3D printed products. We work with a manufacturer that specializes in the production of plastic gears and is the global market leader with its repair solutions.
The so-called involute tooth geometry is retained; this is the only way to ensure low-friction sliding of the tooth flanks between the gear pairs.
The material we use is the thermoplastic Celron with graphite additives. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation.
If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grab the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise. Pull lightly. Friction is everything that keeps the needle on the shaft.
