Conversion kit to Bilstein B6

Description:
Here you get a complete kit to convert pressed 944S2 front axle shock absorbers to bolted Bilstein B6 shock absorbers. The kit includes 2x shock absorbers, 2x threaded sleeve and 1x cartridge wrench, which is needed to tighten the union nut of the shock absorbers. The installation steps can be found in the following instructions.

How to proceed:

1. chisel open the pressing of the old shock absorber parts and pull out the damper cartridges

2. shorten the tubes by 44.5mm

3. remove the zinc coating from the threaded sleeves in the welding area

4. carefully drive the threaded sleeves into the tubes and weld well all around (Before welding, check that the gap between the tube and threaded sleeve fits. It must be possible to tighten the damper cartridge with the nut with 5 full turns)

5. grind the weld seam smooth, paint and assemble the shock absorber
