Description:
In the odometers of mechanical speedometers, this gear very often breaks through radially with a fine hairline crack. It then no longer sits firmly on the shaft and slides to the side. Sometimes this crack is barely visible, so simply test whether the gear wheel can be turned/shifted on the shaft.

Note:
We also recommend replacing the roller gear on the same shaft if you have dismantled and opened the speedometer anyway. Both gears are the typical weak points. If the wheel on the shaft can be turned, it is already damaged.
There are 3 different thickness variants here (1.3mm;2.2mm;3.0mm). Simply measure the tooth width of the gear and order the right one from the store.

If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grip the speedometer needle in the center and turn it counterclockwise. Pull gently. Friction is all that keeps the needle on the shaft.
