Conversion kit to Bilstein B6

Description:
Here you will receive a complete kit to convert pressed 944S2 front axle shock absorbers to bolted Bilstein B6 shock absorbers. The set includes 2x shock absorbers, 2x threaded sleeves and 1x cartridge wrench, which is needed to tighten the union nut of the shock absorbers. You can find the installation steps in the following instructions.

Method:

1. Chisel out the compression of the old shock absorber cartridges and pull out the damper cartridges

2. Shorten the tubes by 44.5mm

3. Remove the zinc layer from the threaded sleeves in the welding area

4. Carefully drive the threaded sleeves into the pipes and weld them well all around (Before welding, check whether the gap between the pipe and the threaded sleeve fits. The damper cartridge with the nut must be able to be tightened with 5 full turns)

5. Grind the weld seam smooth, paint and assemble the shock absorber
