Description:
With this new repair display, you have the option of repairing the defective display of your Golf III on-board computer.
The display only fits speedometers from Motometer.
The display is also suitable for the mileage speedometer.

Attention:
Two variants of displays were installed on Motometer instruments. One version with conductive rubber and one with wire pins for soldering.
Here you get the version for soldering.

After many years of use and frequent temperature fluctuations, the sealing of the LCD elements eventually fails and the display "leaks". Although the overall component is still fully functional, the numbers and symbols can no longer be fully read. As a "do it yourself" solution, you can also repair the display yourself as a hobbyist with the components offered here as well as our support and illustrated instructions. Soldering work is required for the repair.

Because the ageing of displays is a general problem, we generally advise against buying used "still intact" components. Here too, it is only a matter of time before the display no longer works. Replacing your own display is therefore always the cheaper and best option in the long term.

We have both the left-hand display for the odometer and the right-hand display with the on-board computer display (MFA) in our range.
We also recommend replacing the displays when converting the speedometer in order to keep the speedometer functional in the long term.

No programming or similar is required after the repair.
