This V-belt is for the air pump of the 911 engines. The so-called air injection is driven by this belt from the engine fan and was used to improve the exhaust values. Not all Carrera models had this air pump installed, but only those for some foreign markets such as Switzerland or Sweden. The corresponding engine code for the models in question is 930.26. The air pumps were often retrofitted to imported vehicles.
