The crankshaft sensors measure the crankshaft speed and are well hidden on the flywheel. The pulse generator transmits the engine speed to the DME and is a frequent source of faults when the engine is not running smoothly. The reliable and precise function of the pulse generator is particularly important for the engine electronics.

No programming or similar is required after the repair.
