Description:
Coupling rods form the connection between the stabilizer bar and suspension components and thus transmit the forces required to improve road holding and reduce roll when cornering.
A damaged sway bar can usually be recognized by rumbling and rattling noises as well as strong shocks in the chassis and increased inclination when cornering and braking. Common causes of defective sway bars are a lack of lubrication or defective bearings, so all rubber bushes should be checked and replaced if necessary during a suspension overhaul.
