Description:
Damping plates provide the connection between the brake piston and the brake pads. This reduces the noise caused by grinding or squealing brake pads and minimizes wear. As the plates are usually glued and are sometimes exposed to high temperatures, this can lead to increased noise development at the end of a braking process.
The damping plates should therefore always be replaced when the brake pads are replaced.
