Speedometer gear wheel for MERCEDES MB-trac speedometer hour meter

Description:
If the hour meter on your Trac has failed, then the gear wheel shown is the problem. Due to a material defect, the old plastic decomposes and the beige-colored gear wheel crumbles after a few years on all (!) speedometers.
Note:
For the older models with mechanical drive, we also have a repair gear in the store!
Important:
There are several drive variants and gear combinations. For quick and easy processing, we therefore ask you to tell us the number of teeth AND the vehicle type with VDO part number directly in the comments field when purchasing. Without this information, we will send you the most commonly installed gear type. If your double gearwheel is too damaged, you can also count the number of teeth of the partner gearwheel from the smaller gearwheel. This refers to the gear that meshes with the smaller ring gear of this double gear.

Quality:
Our gears are manufactured with great care and true to the original using the injection molding process and are not 3D-printed in-house parts. We work with a manufacturer that specializes in the production of plastic gears and is the global market leader with its repair solutions.
The so-called involute tooth geometry is retained, which is the only way to ensure low-friction sliding of the tooth flanks between the gear pairs.
The material we use is the thermoplastic Celron with graphite additives. These ensure low friction and wear-free operation.
If you disassemble the speedometer in advance, please note that the shaft of the speedometer needle is very sensitive. Grip the speedometer needle in the center and turn it counterclockwise. Pull gently. Friction is all that keeps the needle on the shaft.
